The India Show – Singapore features BETTER INNOVATION on Tour

India Show – Singapore, an initiative of the Government of India, its Ministry of Commerce & Industry and Department of Commerce. The show was jointly organized by the Confederation of India Industry and the High Commission of India, Singapore. The India Show's main objective was to promote "Brand India" and provide a platform for Indian companies to showcase their strengths and capabilities in both developed and emerging markets with demand for Indian products and technologies. Its aim was also to provide an opportunity to network, develop business contacts and new markets.

This year's event took place 14-16 January at the Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Centre, Singapore. Attendees included CEOs, ministerial and trade delegations, buyers and sourcing personnel, technical experts, government officials, consultants and media members. Tata Technologies, along with other Tata group companies, participated and presented its BETTER INNOVATION on Tour program and displayed the Tata Technologies BETTER INNOVATION Nano that earned worldwide recognition on its 2010 tour of North America, when it supported the BETTER INNOVATION on Tour messages of vision, innovation and frugal engineering.

  • After unveiling the Tata Nano at the Detroit Science Center on January 14th, 2010, Tata Technologies took the Nano on tour throughout North America and Europe. The goal was to showcase the dream of Mr. Ratan N. Tata, promote possibility engineering, and to share how Tata Technologies helped the Nano innovation story to become reality. The calendar of events schedule filled up quickly with stops at academic institutions, various engineering conferences and many prestigious companies who hosted us for their "innovation day."

    Our journey criss-crossed the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. In December 2010 when the Nano returned to India, the Tata Nano had been viewed by thousands of students, professors, industry executives, aspiring engineers and more. The story does not end there.
